About Us

We have significant experience in ground investigation and geotechnical design and can provide cost-effective ground engineering advice for projects. Our experience ranges from providing foundation advice to individuals building their own homes to reviewing ground conditions and providing geotechnical advice for large-scale projects with complex ground conditions.

We aim to provide pragmatic sound advice based on a thorough understanding of ground engineering issues and engineering principles. We believe in the importance of undertaking a desk study for all projects. This allows us to quickly gain an understanding of the potential ground conditions at a site but also to identify potential geotechnical hazards. We can then advise on the most appropriate investigation to obtain the necessary information to manage the geotechnical risks. This can range from simple trial pits for lower risk Geotechnical Category 1 projects to multi-stage ground investigations involving boreholes, in-situ testing and laboratory testing for more challenging projects with complex ground conditions.

We use a Geotechnical Risk Register for all projects to ensure that ground hazards are identified as soon as possible and to allow any risks to be mitigated during the project lifecycle.
